The Museum of Modern Japanese Literature (
Nihon kindai bungakukan) was established in 1967 in order to compile and preserve numerous modern literary documents. Originally proposed in 1962, the leaders of literary circles, academia, and the media collaborated in its formation. The museum has rare periodicals, first-edition printings of masterpiece works, and complete sets of periodicals. The museum also has a reading room and reference materials for the use of students librarians, and researchers. It is located in Komaba Park, Tokyo.
